Welcome to my blog. I hope you find plenty of inspiration here. Nothing too fancy, no great skills required, just lots of cards, gifts and perhaps the odd bit of shopping.
My blog contains lots of links to freebies. Without sounding like "mother" can I ask you to leave a kind comment to the generous givers of such fabulous artwork. I know of at least a couple of artists who are feeling a bit unloved at the moment. Thanks. X

Home tweet home.
I'm not pleased with myself for doing this but i've done it anyway. I downloaded a free digi image and forgot to make a note of where from.,so i can't give any credit to the artist. I'll have to see if i can find it and edit this post. If anyone knows whose it is please let me know.EDIT, i found it ,it's a Mo Mannings image. I dont very often mess about cutting and 3d-ing but this is for my sis who's just moved house so i've made the effort. The flowers are clear stamps by ClareCurd.
I've sort of sussed out the photo insert thingy (i think).

More Elzybels!
I do have lots more stamps, honest, i just love these little Elzybels animals so much.I coloured this set with my promarkers. I don't bother with shading with quickie cards and notelets, flat colouring is fine for these. In fact,( height of laziness) if i was giving this to a little girl for a pressie i'd just colour the one on the cover and let her do the others herself. I may even include a few pencils if she was lucky! The wallet is made from a 5"x7" card.I trimmed a little bit off the bottom and folded it up on the inside to make it 5" square. It's best to cut the inside flaps at an angle as in the pic so it shuts easily, then secure just the outer edges with double sided tape. The little cards are 4"x4".
Well that's me for today i'm off to do some food shopping and when i get back there'd best be at least 50 comments!!!..... If only! Di.xxx
PS. This technophobe is going to have to figure out how to put photos in between the text, that'll be my next mission.

Stick 'em up!!
Hello everyone.I'm on my day off today so i've been playing.I bought some post it notes from Tesco for 24p each a few weeks ago and they've been lying in my drawer 'til today. They were easy to make but working out the measurements was a bit tricky because my cutter is metric but my scorepal is in inches. The piece of card is 8cm x 20cm and i scored it at 1" then one and a half inches then four and a half inches then 5".Fold along the scorelines and glue the notepad to the inside back.I got the self adhesive velcro pads from Aldi ages ago but i'm sure iv'e seen them since.I got the little pens at WHS in the bargain bit a while ago. In future if i pick up a bargain i'll post it on here striaght away. Thanks for visiting. Di. xx

Red Hot.
When i bought this stamp from Whipper Snapper curiosity got the better of me and i googled it to see if there was such a society.Apparently there is a red HAT society which started in America for women in their 50s.It was started by a lady who decided to celebrate her 50th birthday by wearing a gaudy purple and red outfit from a charity shop. Her freinds did the same and it all started there. They are now all over the world. Imagine my suprise when on a visit to my local which is a hotel, a load of women appeared from upstairs all dressed in red and purple with hats just like my card. They were indeed members of the red hat society on a weekend break. There is also a pink hat society for women approaching 50.I was well miffed, if i'd have known they were going to be there i could have sold a load of cards!!

Mini notecards
I love making cards but I love making boxes even more. They are very quick and easy to make and they turn a few simple cards into a gift. I use a scorepal which makes them a doddle. I don't know how to post links yet but I get most of my box/bag instructions from the resources page at Splitcoast Stampers. Here are a couple of sets I've made. The cat stamp is by Incastamps and i found it on Monday in WHS bargain bit for £2. The hedgie is a penny black stamp. Well, that's me for now, I've got to go to the dreaded Tesco (which is not far from WHS) ....now there's a thought.... Tata for now Di xx.

NEARLY FORGOT!!
There i was playing happily in my craft room when an alarm went off in my head. OMG! It's my brother in laws birthday on monday and i've not made him a card.Of course NOBODY has spare male cards hanging around (do they ?) so i had to rustle this one up.It's a Clare Curd clear stamp and the DP is from a Brenda Pinnick stack (qvc).Phew, i would have been in such bad books.
Tata for now. Di.
Tilda birthday.
Hello again. Slightly warmer today and no snow, touch wood. It's my days off today and tomorrow so i've got the slow cooker in action so i can have an easy life for the next few mealtimes. I was lucky enough to find one which is split in half so i've got a beef ruby going on in one half and italian beef with tomatoes and olives in the other, talk about clash of the aromas in the kitchen !!
So with that sorted i can now show you a card i made last week. The design paper is from the bloom and grow stack from My minds eye. I love these papers as they have elements like the flowers on this card which can be cut out to embelish. I coloured Tilda with promarkers and paper pieced her wellies.
I'm off into my craft room now to have a play.
Thanks for visiting. Di. XX

Pull the udder one.
You will begin to realise that most of my cards are of a simple nature ( a bit like me). I am far too impatient to take hours over a masterpiece which will probably end up in someones bin . I like to be finished and on to the next one.
This one is made using an elzybells clear stamp from one of their farmyard sets coloured with my beloved promarkers. A friend of my hubbys called round the other day when i was doing a spot of colouring. He said "ooh look at all those pens, my little girl would love to get her hands on them"!! Well!!! I gathered them to my breast and ran!
See you soon , Di xx
Sympathy cards.
Welcome to my blog. I am absolutely rubbish on computers, but not bad at making cards so I hope you'll all forgive any blips! Please feel free to have a good titter.
These two cards are my most recent and thankfully they have nobody to go to yet. I used a hessian textured card and chalked around a punched circle. The dandelion trio stamp is by Stampendous and the single dandy(on the right) is by hero arts which I stamped three times. They were really easy to make.
Thanks for popping in. Di xx
