I've been loving all the free digi stamps lately but it was only a matter of time before i started feeling a bit guilty about just nabbing them and not giving anything back except for the odd "thank you" here and there. So i've bought a few of Meljens designs from Whimsy Stamps.
This one is called lovebirds and cost $3 which is just under £2. I was never really interested in digi stamps until the last couple of weeks when i realised they had quite a bit going for them. I'd always been a bit envious of Americans as their companies seem to have new release every few weeks. Digis eliminate the p&p costs and the waiting for them to arrive. Also they don't clutter the craftroom, So I think i'm becoming a fan.
The paper is from Craftwork Cards and the card base is 6" x 6". The sentiment was added on the computer before printing out. The font i've used is Freehand 591 BT.
I added a bit of pink chalk around the image on this one and cream on the wedding one.
It's so dark again today. I was going to do a bit of colouring this afternoon but i'll have to have a rethink on that one. Never mind..............................

Welcome to my blog. I hope you find plenty of inspiration here. Nothing too fancy, no great skills required, just lots of cards, gifts and perhaps the odd bit of shopping.
My blog contains lots of links to freebies. Without sounding like "mother" can I ask you to leave a kind comment to the generous givers of such fabulous artwork. I know of at least a couple of artists who are feeling a bit unloved at the moment. Thanks. X

These are wonderful Di,you knowthat Meljen are a favourite of mine too! I was pretty much in your camp, couldn't imagine using Digis but now I find myself using them more that stamping. I love how you can use them any size, flip them to face the other way and make them into backgrounds. I just wish that I could master using them for paperpiecing. I always get mixed up with which way my paper comes through the printer lol!Hope you've recovered from your busy working week,Julie.x
ReplyDeleteA lovely card I got into digis via pink petticoat and now I am always hunting for new providers x
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Di! Little hint to Julie, who is a talented and seasoned crafter so might be mucking about when she said that she gets mixed up with paper through the printer :) I have a piece of paper with a pencil cross on it which I run through first if I forget! The cross goes in uppermost so I then know which way up the paper should go from the resulting printout..I know, I should remember anyhow!! Hope this makes sense? Di x
ReplyDeleteAww how gorge are these cards. I think i need that digi as well. Love how you have used them. x
