Welcome to my blog. I hope you find plenty of inspiration here. Nothing too fancy, no great skills required, just lots of cards, gifts and perhaps the odd bit of shopping.

My blog contains lots of links to freebies. Without sounding like "mother" can I ask you to leave a kind comment to the generous givers of such fabulous artwork. I know of at least a couple of artists who are feeling a bit unloved at the moment. Thanks. X

Quick Jokey Card.

Speedy, the hubby is a mechanic. One of his customers (who drinks with him in the local pub ) rang him last week to say he'd broken down in his new car. Of course speedy's first question was " are you sure the fuel hasn't ran out. " Yes, there's fuel in it " was the reply. so off he goes to rescue this bloke and guess what? Yep....no fuel, lol. So of course, the poor bloke has never heard the last of it down the pub. Not wanting to be left  out, i made him a quick card.
Well, i uploaded this card and to my horror i realised i'd spelled diesel wrong but i've managed to prize the image layer off and quickly redo it. Phew, i would have been another laughing stock. The image is another of Meljens freebies and the papers are from my scraps. I've put an insert inside with "......... REGULARLY!"  printed on it. The printed frame was a freebie from Wendy,  HERE

  6. Hilarious! I wish I would have known you way back when....my dear Mom pulled this off on my Dad several years ago. She had taken my younger sibs. for a drive out country to see the fall colours and ran out of gas. This being looong before cell phones, she had to walk to the nearest farm house to call home. My father had to borrow a neighbour's car, go get a container of gas, etc., etc. Incidently, the car was an Austin Marina! the only one in our parts. ( eastern Canada)
