Welcome to my blog. I hope you find plenty of inspiration here. Nothing too fancy, no great skills required, just lots of cards, gifts and perhaps the odd bit of shopping.

My blog contains lots of links to freebies. Without sounding like "mother" can I ask you to leave a kind comment to the generous givers of such fabulous artwork. I know of at least a couple of artists who are feeling a bit unloved at the moment. Thanks. X

" That card" again and a catasrtophe.

Evening all. What a day had yesterday. I was glad to get to work for a rest, lol.
My boss is a bit bah humbug about Christmas, or at least he pretends to be. I don't think he'd be too chuffed if  mum and dad said OK we'll cancel it then, no pressies this year. I thought i'd recycle a card design i used a couple of weeks back and make a version of  it for him.
His name is Patrick but everyone calls him Pasta. Hopefully it might raise a glimmer of a smile, lol. Another case of having to take the pic in electric light because suddenly it was dark.I had been too preoccupied to notice the light fading. My heating went off, my bathroom and kitchen sink pipes were frozen all day, and i wrapped about 70 stocking filler gifts. Hubby came home to " fiddle" with the heating and one of the pipes spewed water every where. Of course the pipe was in a cupboard full of junk which had to be pulled out fast. Managed to stop it and get the heating back on but the engineer is coming out tomorrow as the pipework has been done wrong. Glad we are renting as we would cop for the bill otherwise. And most of the contents of the cupboard is now in the bin where it belongs.
Things can only get better................................

  3. Yikes what a disaster Di .. .. funny how it takes something like this to make us throw out our junk!!

I have a friend to confided in me that every day she finds one thing in her house to part with. It can be something that has been kicking around for ages and is plain rubbish for throwing or it is something she hasn't used but can donate to charity.

I thought it was a great idea and hubby and I adopted it the other week just too make us sort out some of the clutter than has built up over the last 20 years we have lived here.

I hope you have a great and happy Christmas Di.

    Love Jules xx

  7. Great little image and a great verse. This would be ideal to give to my lovely hubby as he hates Christmas, or so he tells everyone! Hope your heating gets sorted. Love Sheila x

  8. What a great card - and I love the poem too! So appropriate for the Bag Humbugs in our lives. Could you let me know where you got the image of the boy from - it'd be useful for so many other cards too. Thanks, Karen x
